Professional Tool Reviews for Pros
Metabo HPT has quite a few lighting solutions under its belt, and we’ve covered several of them in the past. The brand announced the introduction of two more lights to add to the lineup to give you even more variability (especially when your needs fall below the 10,000-lumen threshold). We’re taking a look at the Metabo HPT cordless flashlight and lantern to see what they bring to the table.
This flashlight lets you get up to 250 lumens of concentrated light in almost any direction. It has 6 angle settings to offer you an illumination range of 0° – 130°. With two light modes, you can set your level of brightness between 120 lumens and 250 lumens. On top of that, you get runtimes of up to 63 hours on low and 28 hours on high.
One thing we like about this model is its freestanding design. When you toss in a Metabo HPT 18V/36V MultiVolt battery (sold separately), this flashlight stands on its own so you won’t have to constantly hold it like you would for a traditional flashlight.
Price: $39.99 bare. Metabo HPT backs your purchase with a 2-year warranty
If you’re looking for a light that offers all-around illumination instead of a concentrated area, this lantern might suit your needs. It offers 360° illumination with two light settings, letting you toggle between high (320 lumens) and low (750 lumens). On high, you can expect up to 29 hours of runtime, and on low, you can get up to 12 hours.
Like the flashlight mentioned above, this lantern has a freestanding design when you insert an 18V/36V MultiVolt battery. Additionally, it features an integrated metal hanging hook for when you need to add some height to your lighting.
Price: $49. Metabo HPT backs your purchase with a 2-year warranty.
